It contains informative abstracts and searchable full text for 2,448 popular grades 9-12 nonfiction books, including high interest titles on careers, health, life skills, ethnicity, disabilities, adventure, sports, technology, biographies, music, science, history, civics and more. This database includes 1,464 books which are part of the Accelerated Reader program. Search a topic of interest to find full-text books on the subject. Having trouble with homework? Brainfuse can help! Seven days a week, from 2:00pm to 11:00pm, live tutors can assist you one-on-one with understanding and better responding to your assignments. Help is available for all grades, from first grade to college level classwork. Subjects taught run the gamut from basic reading and math to chemistry and calculus! Tutoring is available in both English and Spanish. In addition to live tutoring, Brainfuse offers a Writing Lab; SAT, GED and ACT test preparation; shareable flash cards, tests and games (that you can create!) and group study support. Britannica Online School Edition PreK-12: High School  MPL Special Link
Tailored specifically for students in 9th through 12th grade, Britannica Online High School Edition offers American and English literature outlines, algebra and geometry help, assistance in physics, biology and chemistry and social studies articles. Also included is the latest news from the New York Times and BBC News, as well as frequently updated articles on current events. Just like the grade school and middle school editions, the high school edition includes a World Atlas and the Merriam Webster Student Dictionary. History Reference Center from EBSCO is a full text history database designed for secondary schools, public libraries, junior/community colleges, and undergraduate research. It features content from more than 1,620 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from history publishers and full text for nearly 170 periodicals including American Heritage, American Historical Review, American History, Archaeology, Aviation History, Chinese America: History & Perspectives, Civil War Times, German History, History Today (back to January 1975), Journal of American History, Military History, Naval History, Virginia Magazine of History & Biography, Wild West, Wisconsin Magazine of History, and World War II, in addition to other titles.
